What problem do you strive to overcome?
Clients generally present with issues regarding trauma, stress, anxiety, addictions, relational, and couples’ issues, as well as the desire to find their purpose and place in the world. I have worked with these clients for many years and have found that these presenting problems are just the tip of the iceberg. In my experience, clients want to understand how these dis-eases are connected to their mind, body, and spirit. Often both the client and the therapist struggle because one or more of the three parts of humans are being ignored. It is important for the therapist to incorporate all three of these aspects of humans when treating the presenting issue that is affecting the person. It is my belief that treating just one part of the three parts of human beings is inadequate. Addressing all three of these parts of the person will put the client at ease.
Treating the client holistically mind, body, and soul, is critical to long lasting and complete growth for the client. Helping the client reconcile and come to an understanding that all three parts of themself is important and needs to be addressed simultaneously is my goal. I am well versed in treating all three parts of the person. I am trained, competent and experienced at addressing multicultural, spiritual, irrational thoughts, unwanted behaviors, faith traditions, calling and purpose discovery, as well as marital, relational issues, and the vocational needs of clients. I strive to create a safe, welcoming, and comfortable environment that values the importance of holistic counseling and soul care. Additionally, I value the importance of the therapeutic relationship and respect of diversity, spirituality, and competency in terms of counseling and treating mental health concerns. The result of the work that we do together, allows the client to realize long term healing, insight, growth, and behavioral and cognitive changes that can be applied in all aspects of your life. The outcome of therapy is that the body, soul, and mind are all in concert and connected. Furthermore, values, goals and behaviors match inside and out, feelings and thoughts are clear and positive and consistent with personal behaviors, principles, and values. Experience:
